Day 3 at GPL was quite unusual (Manmohan Desai like), we had 3 cakes to celebrate 3 birthdays at Geon. Sahaya, Subhash and Shekhar, all three coincidentally were born on this very same day.
A thorough frisking ensued to check for lockets, birth marks, or tattoos on their bodies just in case they were mele me bichda hua long lost brothers...

But guess what we discovered that all their names start with an "S", so now we are awaiting the DNA reports of all the three brothers just to confirm it before they start celebrating and introducing their families to each other. What an auspicious occasion that
GPL has helped unite 3 long lost families. The happy faces tell the entire story...
The celebrations of the long lost brothers continued into the matches and

DJ
Milind did not disappoint this time. "Are your ready" screamed the DJ and the entire crowd hit the floor instantly. We had to literally push people of the floor to ensure that the matches began on time. The first 3 matches were from Group A, Scorpions Vs Brats,
Hellboys and Gorgeous. Well predictably Scorpions won all their 3 matches...
However the most
challenging match was the one

between the Scorpions and Gorgeous. Gorgeous had almost won the match, they were 2-0 up when the Scorpions decided to sting back. They fought valiantly and turned the match around by its tail. The advantage kept swinging back and forth like a pendulum till eventually the Scorpions after a long and hard battle won. The entire crowd backed by DJ
Milind's desi mixes were rooting for Gorgeous throughout. If there are any prizes to be given for the match of the tournament

then this was the one folks. Wish we could have shown you the highlights of this awesome
takkar.
"The Smashers" Kanchan and Milind played their second match of the tournament and surprise surprise they won it by beating the Brats 3-0. Inspite of everyone telling them to allow Sahaya to win atleast 1 game as a birthday gift. But alas... twas not to be.
The most entertaining moment of the day was the sight of Ms Gorgeous directing the game between Scorpions and Hellboys from the sidelines.

Monica Seles like grunts of "Hit"... "Hit"... "Flick"... ""Hit"... "Flick"... kept coming from one corner of the court and the Hellboys responded in absolutely earnestness throughout. Not sure if they actually lost because of all the grunting ...
The biggest letdown of the tournament was however the Dilli Nawabs, after shouting from the rooftops that they would chatao chatni to all the teams, they got a taste of their own stale chatni.

After winning their first game with the Tigers, they holed out a bitterly fought match to Aces and lost it 2-3. The Aces whooped and celebrated with their unusual victory sign, can't describe it here though :-).
Scorpions top the table in Group A and the International Khiladis top the table in Group B with 9 points apiece...
